Coupling Inspection Items

Visual Inspection: First, conduct a comprehensive visual inspection of the coupling, observing for cracks, deformation, rust, etc. These defects may affect the performance and service life of the coupling; any problems found should be addressed promptly.

 

Alignment Inspection: Coupling alignment refers to the coaxiality between the two shafts. Excessive coaxiality deviation can cause the coupling to bear excessive radial force and bending moment, thus affecting its service life. Therefore, the alignment of the coupling should be checked regularly to ensure it is within the allowable range.

 

Clearance Inspection: Excessive or insufficient clearance in the coupling will affect its normal operation. Excessive clearance may lead to unstable transmission, while insufficient clearance may accelerate wear. Therefore, coupling clearances should be checked regularly to ensure they meet design requirements.

 

Bolt Inspection: Coupling bolts are critical components connecting two shafts. They should be checked regularly for looseness, breakage, or severe wear. If any abnormalities are found, they should be tightened or replaced promptly.

 

Elastic Element Inspection: For couplings containing elastic elements (such as flexible pin couplings, diaphragm couplings, etc.), the wear and aging of the elastic elements should be checked regularly. If a decline in the performance of the elastic element is found, it should be replaced promptly.
